We changed

Expensive hardware based solutions are not the answer. That's why we changed the system.
Grant schemes only offer funding if the measures installed can be used to increase EPC points.
But existing "solutions" being offered are expensive and a hassle. To comply with Energy Regulations they rely on installing large amounts of difficult to acommodate additional hardware and extensive cabling to route the solar electricity to the premises.
On top of that, installation is incredibly disruptive for residents .
Such "solutions" provide a worse investment case than the "landlord model" and lock in housing providers and residents to a single supplier for the lifetime of the system. Meaning no room for improvement for the next 20-25 years.
To accelerate a fair energy transition we need to do better than that.
That's why we worked closely with Ofgem to validate a new model. We changed the regulations and created Solar4Flats
